Parents, staff and students, it is important to note that if no message is given for Edmonds School District by TV, radio, websites or voicemail, then our schools are operating on a normal schedule. In a weather emergency, the best place for your child to be is at home with you. Since what’s best is not always what’s possible, we want you to know that school may be another option. When school and bus transportation are delayed because of weather, our schools will be open at the regular time. If you can accompany your child to school safely, he/she will find welcoming faces there. Each school will be prepared to provide supervision when school is delayed and before regular instruction begins. A caution: Crossing guards will not be posted at intersections until the school begins its delayed schedule. Some intersections may not be guarded if road conditions are very hazardous and threaten the safety of our crossing guards.
