Description of Sherwood PSO Board Positions

Serving on the Sherwood PSO (Parent Staff Organization) Board is a great way to feel connected to your school community and make a positive difference by supporting the efforts of our staff and students. If you have an interest, please let us know!  Besides, it’s not only a way to improve your resume, you also meet new and interesting friends and have fun. We know many of you work so we have designed the board to be accessible to working parents. Every person interested is a nominee until voted into office in June, including returning board members. The time commitment can vary by position, as many of the job duties are seasonal. We do ask that all board members attend the PSO General Parent meetings (4 per year), PSO Board Meetings every month and PSO sponsored events as your schedule allows. We are all volunteers and understand that we have many priorities aside from the board so we work hard to accommodate the schedules of all board members. All positions carry a maximum two year term except Treasurer and Fundraiser which are 3 years.

President or Co-President

Have you worked in management, love to oversee projects or are a people person? Would you like to use or develop your fabulous leader skills? Any of these qualities would make you a great candidate. We usually have a very strong core in our returning members that know their positions very well and can provide a wealth of knowledge. You can get as much or as little support as you like. Writes thank you notes to PSO volunteers.
